Abstract: | In this study the children's views and perceptions of the causes of irregular cross border migration are explored. The exploration of their everyday lives and experiences was conducted so as to have a wider understanding of the children's experiences and issues. Community intervention strategies and their challenges in trying to prevent child migration are also analysed. It is imperative to note that everyone has a right to free movement however this right has been regulated by states thereby determining who enters and who is restricted. This has created a senario where children are exploited, abused and exposed to harmful situations due to their age and vulnerability. |
